| Water level is too high or
low in your commode. |
Level should be 1/2 inch below
top of overflow tube. Bend float arm down to lower water level, up
to raise it. If level is too high, water will run over. If too low,
water may be inadequate for complete flush. |
| Commode Tank flushes partially. |
Tank ball may not rise enough;
shorten upper lift wire slightly and rehook it through hole in trip
lever. Follow manufactures instructions for pivoted tip-type
flush valve. |
| Water at base of commode on
floor. |
Check supply line at tank
and valve packing if dry remove commode replace wax seal. |
| Vibrating Faucet. |
Loose washer or stem set.
Check water pressure with gauge should be between 60-80 P.S.I. |
| Water not coming out of faucet
strong enough when hot or cold is on. |
Remove aerator (screen) and
clean debris (located at spout) |
| Frozen Water lines. |
Be sure to drain out all hose
bibs and outside lines before the winter months. |
| Bubble in washing machine
hoses Shut off valve and replace hose. |
Be sure not to leave hose
bibs on all the time. |
| Gurgling Drain |
Improper venting and wrong
drain pipe size are the usual cause. Try installing an antisiphon
trap as a remedy. |
